Dartmoor offers some of the best cycling in Devon - and electric bikes make it fun!

Explore hidden Dartmoor..... our guides know Dartmoor intimately and will lead you along routes carefully planned to include its diverse and fascinating history, panoramic views and tranquil picnic spots.

Enjoy stunning scenery.... Dartmoor’s views, colours, and hidden corners are best experienced up close rather than through a car window. E-biking around the moor means you experience a variety of landscapes and can stop whenever you want to look more closely at an ancient cross, or to dip your toes in a stream.

Exercise without exhaustion.... our Swiss Flyer top of the range bikes make cycling accessible and enjoyable whatever your level of experience. They will give you the extra power that allows you to enjoy the many attractions this special environment has to offer. The electric motor, like an extra pair of legs, provides much needed assistance on the hilly terrain, and our plush saddles ensure a comfortable ride all day long.

We offer a choice of half or full day circular guided tours starting from a variety of locations around Dartmoor:

Hidden Lanes of Dartmoor,  Wild Water Ride,  Tors and Combes,  Historic Dartmoor

Why not treat someone to a voucher (valid for 12 months) for a half-day guided tour on Dartmoor this Christmas? Read more....

We now have electric bikes for hire. £30/day includes helmet and bike familiarisation.  Further information here

My wife and I spent an enchanted day pootllng around Dartmoor on electric bikes, led by the delightful people from Dartmoor Electric Bikes. This sort of cunningly 'assisted' biking is taking off, and with good reason, for it encourages the most unlikely people into the saddle – which can only be a Good Thing. No hill is too steep, and 'normal' cyclists are likely to be overtaken uphill by gently-pedalling ladies with grey hair, or under-sweating large blokes suppressing the smuggest of grins. We tucked ourselves into the remotest corners and down the tiniest lanes, seeing Dartmoor through new eyes and loving every moment of it. It's altogether a lovely idea, and has even won over the cycling purist in me. I'll persist with my own bike, but it won't be long….
